Structural analysis of magnetic lenses by Synchrotron CT

As part of a major semiconductor project, MPS has developed miniature magnetic lenses that require extremely high levels of quality and process stability. It is within the framework of the analysis of the manufacturing processes that MPS Microsystems called upon the services of ANAXAM.
The applied material analytics of ANAXAM using Synchrotron CT helps MPS Microsystems to analyze the internal structure of the magnetic lenses. Obtained three-dimensional images reveal non-destructively imperfections in the manufacturing process. Such results are aimed to increase quality and performance of the magnetic lenses in order to meet the highest standards.
The control of the production steps is very important for MPS Microsystems and especially for this project. The use of Synchrotron X-ray tomography coupled with the analysis performed by ANAXAM allowed a clear and precise picture of the result of our brazing process. The addition of the different materials used for this assembly was the most challenging part of the study.”
