With pleasure we welcome Dr. Hector Dejea as our new team member since 13.10.2025.

On October 21 and 22, 2025, ANAXAM participated in the PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference in Vienna — with its own exhibition booth and a technical presentation by Vladimir Novak, which attracted great interest among the attendees.

We recently welcomed Tobias Wassmer from VAT Vakuumventile AG and Ivo Lenherr from the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland to our premises. After a brief round of introductions, they were given a tour of our premises and the large-scale research facilities at PSI. The product samples they brought with them helped us to better understand the challenges and requirements of VAT Vakuumventile AG. These will now be measured in an initial feasibility study using Synchrotron CT and Synchrotron Diffraction. We look forward to continuing our collaboration.

We are excited to share that or group leader Vlad Novak will be giving a talk on “How Particle Accelerators Change Industrial Research” at the 5th Slovak & Czech Annual Symposium in Zurich.

As part of his engineering studies in Aerospace Engineering at ISAE-ENSMA (École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique) in France, Maël completed a three-month internship at ANAXAM. During this time, he gained exciting insights into multimodal data processing for industrial applications at the Synchrotron – while also making important contributions to our projects.

ANAXAM Technology Centre in collaboration with Merck & Co., Inc., investigated the mechanisms of needle clogging in pre-filled syringes, focusing on zinc (Zn) ions, which have been reported to promote protein gelation and increase formulation viscosity.

As part of our joint development project, we recently welcomed representatives from INTEGRA Sitek AG to ANAXAM. Visiting us were Managing Director Urs Rutz, Patric Schweingruber, Samuel Scheuermeier and Kristian Batt.

After more than 1.5 years of upgrading the SLS (Swiss Light Source), we have now been able to carry out customer measurements on the ADDAMS beamline at PSI for the first time again.

Our robotic infrastructure optimizes sample exchange at the beamline. It has significantly increased the measurement efficiency of prefilled syringes (PFS), enabling us to handle even large-scale customer projects.
