ANAXAM together with colleagues from PSI have successfully exploited for a specific question of an industrial customer the usage of the Muon Induced X-ray Emission (MIXE) technique for elemental analysis of welding samples.

Gulhfi AG is an international innovation leader in surface engineering and provides contract design, prototyping service and specific powder material and coating systems for such thermal spray equipment. Gulhfi is specialized in thermal spray coating technology in particular for medical, energy, aerospace, automotive and general industry like the printing industry. The core technology of Gulhfi is to provide engineering services to customers. Such services imply coating development, development of new material in terms of powder and coating properties, product prototype realization, robot programming of thermal spray equipment and implementation of production line at customer site.

Within the framework of a customer project for the investigation of ice samples, a tailor-made cryochamber was realised.

The name Springfix stands for modern forming technology and metal-cutting further processing in medium and large series production. We supply automotive suppliers, building equipment manufacturers and the electrical industry worldwide.

Springfix steel moldings are used in innovative, modern lighting solutions, manufactured with the utmost care and efficiency from pre-painted or pre-galvanized strip material. The well known and adapted manufacturing process nevertheless leads from time to time to quality defects of the products. These defects originate in complex material and process engineering problems, which is why we need the cooperation of a practical analytical service provider who also has a sound knowledge of materials science and process engineering.

As part of a major semiconductor project, MPS has developed miniature magnetic lenses that require extremely high levels of quality and process stability. It is within the framework of the analysis of the manufacturing processes that MPS Microsystems called upon the services of ANAXAM.

Functional highlights

Following the successful commissioning of the tailor-made infrastructure for the high-throughput Synchrotron Diffraction of powder samples at the ESRF in Grenoble last year, the first measurements have now been carried out.
